Prepares children to be successful in school. This happens through lessons, a classroom-like structure, and the love and care of adult volunteers who are consistent and steady with the children each week. The program is a, hands-on, sensory learning center that offers ways for moms from The Connect to further engage in the learning process.

Soul Sisters

This is a bible study for young women from The Connect and Ladies Night Out to engage the Bible with mentors.  Several of the mentors are former students who used to attend the study, and are now leading!

Student Leaders

Thursdays 5:00-6:30 pm

Cultivates leadership skills and challenges students to grow as leaders among their peers. Students apply, interview, and are accepted into the program. They are paired with adult mentors and given opportunities to serve at First Glance and in the community.

Almost Leaders

Thursdays 5:30-9:30 bi-monthly

Almost Leaders is a transitional program for students who are seniors in high school, or have recently graduated high school. Our goal is for these students to continue developing in leadership roles as young adults. Students and mentors participate in bi-weekly meetings where a meal is shared and leadership training is presented. Opportunities for one-on-one mentorship with an adult volunteer is also available to these students.

Rec Night

Provides students with a safe and fun environment to participate in sports and activities with friends and volunteers. There is opportunity for students to connect with adult volunteers through conversations, activities and competitions. The format is fairly unstructured, but relationships are constantly being built and developed.

High School Only

Fridays 7:00-9:30

This is a night specifically for High School students.  Low key laid back night, where the highschoolers set the tone.  They vote on food choices, set up their own music, and decide what if any activities should happen.  We, of course, get as many adults there to engage as well!
